Something City

In many ways, Austria’s capital is one of the most remarkable cities in Europe. An amazing blend of history and innovation, Austrian culture and diversity, old and new, dignified and edgy, this is a city that has it all. In its time it’s been everything from a Celtic settlement to a Roman military base and the capital of one of Europe’s great empires.

Modern Vienna, despite its modest size – less than two million people live there, making it small by the standards of Berlin or London – is a city with a global reach. It’s one of the top three destinations for international conferences and conventions, hosts a range of international organisations, and of course is still the capital of Austria.

Vienna also has a dazzling reputation as a centre of innovation and culture. Twentieth-century Viennese thinkers were influential in the development of modern psychology, while the city’s home-grown musical talents – the Strauss family were Viennese – drew in many more great composers and artists, most famously Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

As you might expect, Vienna attracts a lot of visitors. Almost seven million tourists a year come to the city, on top of all those who travel there on business. Whatever your reason for visiting Vienna, it’s a fantastic place to go. No matter what you enjoy, you’re sure to find it in Vienna. From the best classical music to the liveliest nightlife it’s all there.

Vienna isn’t just a city for the summer, either. Yes, it’s lovely to wander through one of the city’s many parks on a sunny afternoon – but it’s just as pleasurable to sip Glühwein at the famous Christmas Market as the snow falls from a dark December sky.Vienna’s social life never stops, whatever the season.

Of course, while you can certainly enjoy Vienna on your own, your time there is likely to be a lot more fun if you spend it in the right company. Many visitors will be arriving with friends, family or their significant other, but what if you’re travelling alone? Are you going to resign yourself to solitary wanderings around this beautiful city, or look for a companion to share the experience with you?

Most people, given the choice, will try to find some company – and that’s where Krypton Escorts come in. If you’re looking for a companion to take in the sights with, the ultimate girlfriend experience or someone to share some intimate moments with, Krypton should be your first and only stop.

You might be wondering what makes Krypton so special. Well, read on and we’ll tell you! Quite simply, we’re not a traditional escort agency. Instead, we provide a platform that lets you get in touch with charming ladies who work for themselves. Our role is making the platform available and making sure the ladies who use it are the kind we’re looking for.

So what sort of ladies are we looking for? That’s another thing that makes Krypton special – all the escorts who use our platform are students. This is a decision we made right at the beginning, when Krypton only operated in its home city of Berlin, but we’ve stuck to it as we expanded; we still believe it was the right decision to make.

Why was it the right decision? Because students, in our opinion, make the perfect escorts. They’re young, smart and confident –these girls study at some of the best universities in Europe. They always know the best places to go. They have a lot to talk about, and love socialising. Most of all, they’re always ready to have a good time!

We’re sure that, with your student companion, you’ll have a good time in Vienna too. There’s certainly plenty to keep you occupied. In fact, your problem is more likely to be deciding what to do than finding something, so just to help you out we’ve come up with a few suggestions.

Things to do

Go to the ball

The era of grand balls passed with the end of the 19th century – everywhere except Vienna. It seems the Viennese enjoyed them too much, though, so they’ve preserved the tradition. There are more than 450 balls a year in Vienna, some of them with as many as nine orchestras playing. Usually held in the city’s palaces, with music and dancing through to 5am, it’s an unforgettable experience – but not one to be on your own for. With a beautiful student companion at your side you’ll have a night to treasure forever.

Catch some music

Vienna is known as “The city of music” because so many famous composers were born or lived here. That reputation isn’t just a leftover of the past, either. The city has three of Europe’s best opera houses, two leading orchestras and a huge number of other music venues. Modern music isn’t overlooked either, with the Waves Vienna festival taking place every October and dozens of live events every night in venues from concert halls to bars. Whatever you like to listen to, you and your date will find it in Vienna.

The Big Wheel

It seems like every movie set in Vienna has to have a scene shot at the famous Wiener Riesenrad. This giant structure was the world’s tallest Ferris wheel from 1920 until 1985, andis still an impressive sight today. Take a spin on the wheel with your date and the two of you can enjoy spectacular views out over the city.If you want to help your date go well, a ride on the wheel is also a very romantic experience to share.

Walk in the park

Vienna has some amazing green spaces, with the gardens at the Schönbrunn Palace being a spectacular example. If you have a sunny afternoon to spare, why not pack a picnic and take a wander with your charming companion? Sharing a bottle of wine as you relax on the grass will give you a chance to get to know each other, and set you up for the perfect evening!

Dining in Vienna

Dinner dates are popular for a reason. They make the perfect end to a day’s exploring a new city, or a great start to an evening out. The experience of dining together gives you a chance to get to know each other and build rapport – especially if you find a really good restaurant. To help with that, here are a couple of tips from us.

Sixta

Rated as Vienna’s best restaurant by TripAdvisor, Sixta is the place to go if you really want to impress your date. Small, friendly and welcoming, it blends immaculate service with an informal atmosphere that’s perfect for an intimate meal. The food is traditional Austrian, exquisitely good and paired with a fantastic wine list.

ef16

Another traditional Austrian and central European eatery, with some Italian thrown in for variety, the highly regarded ef16 is perfectly located for a meal before touring the city centre. It’s well known for its exceptionally friendly staff (and excellent schnitzel), so if you’re looking for somewhere to really enjoy a romantic meal, this is an excellent choice.

Edvard

Towards the north of the city centre, Edvard offers the sort of dining experience that only comes with a Michelin star. Contemporary décor and a superlative wine list combine with the excellent food to create a meal you and your date will really appreciate. Try the seven-course tasting menu for an even more enjoyable experience.

Vienna Hotels

Almost any decent hotel will let you shower, sleep and enjoy an acceptable breakfast, but why not make your time in Vienna perfect by finding a really good place to stay? It does make a difference – especially if you’re planning to entertain someone special while you’re there. Vienna has some truly excellent hotels; here are some of our favourites.

Hotel San Souci Wien

Just two minutes’ walk from the Volkstheater and equally close to many of the city’s finest museums, the Hotel San Souci makes the perfect base for a tour of Vienna’s cultural heritage. It’s also an exceptionally comfortable one, with beautifully decorated, spacious rooms and excellent service. Breakfasts are particularly good, but it’s also an ideal place to relax, perhaps with a special person, after an evening on the town.

Park Hyatt Vienna

A modern hotel in a traditional building, the Park Hyatt is renowned for its luxury and service. It’s also perfectly located in the very centre of the city, so you really couldn’t ask for a more convenient place to stay. Rooms are generously sized and equipped with all the latest amenities, the restaurant is excellent, and the bar is ideal for a last drink with your companion before you retire to the privacy of your room.

Hotel Am Stephansplatz

Luxurious and welcoming, Hotel Am Stephansplatz is directly across from the famous Stephansdom cathedral. Immaculately decorated rooms offer all the facilities you could require, and despite its central location excellent soundproofing guarantees you a restful stay – and all the privacy you could want.
